CBT for Eating Disorders
An eating disorder is a mental health condition where you use the control of food to cope with feelings and other situations. Children and young people with eating disorders often wrestle with other serious conditions such as depression and anxiety. Published NHS figures show a large and recent increase in the numbers of hospital admissions for young people due to eating disorders. CBT for eating disorders is a treatment based on research evidence that helps people re-establish regular healthy eating. I am a specialist psychotherapist provider for AXA, Vitality, BUPA, Allianz Healthcare and WPA. I am certified to work with adults and children who have an eating disorder.

Counselling for Teenagers
Globally, one in seven 10-19-year-olds experiences a mental disorder. The consequences of failing to address adolescent mental health conditions extend to adulthood, impairing both physical and mental health and limiting opportunities to lead fulfilling lives as adults. I trained with Place2Be working with children aged 4 to 14 years of age, and work with teenagers 14+. Areas covered: ‘Making Endings with Children’, ‘Working with Metaphor’, Helping Children Tell Their Story’ and ‘Attachment theory’. I have also gained an additional Certificate in Attachment Theory from The Bowlby Centre in London.
